Chipotle unveils ‘responsible restaurant design’

Chipotle unveiled its new all-electric “responsible restaurant design” in its Gloucester restaurant this week, according to a news release.
The new restaurant design aims to maximize energy efficiency, and utilizes 100 percent renewable energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from energy used at these restaurants.
Chipotle plans to have more than 100 of its new locations in 2024 utilizing all-electric equipment and at least some additional elements from its new design.
Key design features include vehicle charging stations at select locations, rooftop solar panels, all-electric equipment and systems, biodegradable service ware such as cutlery, straws, bowls, cups, and lids, artwork made from recycled rice husks, and more.
Chipotle is also launching a short film called “Human Nature,” an entirely new creative expression for the brand that will explore how humans and nature can work together to cultivate a better world, the release stated.
