Charlotte Faye Galloway Williams, 70, of Gloucester, passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, in Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

 

She was born in Big Stone Gap, Va., and was the daughter of the late Dewey McCoy and Ollie Moorefield Galloway. She was a former member of Victory Baptist Church in Gloucester and a member of Victory Baptist Church in Hampton, and was an avid supporter of any group that worked against cancer.

 

She is survived by her husband, Thurman Williams Jr.; son, Michael Williams and his wife Michelle of Gloucester; sister, Margaret Stacey of California; grandchildren, Erica Marie Williams, Jason Tyler Williams, Stephanie Anne Williams, Christopher Wayne Galloway, Johnny Snodgrass, and Ashley Snodgrass, and her cousin, Alice Stacey of Big Stone Gap, Va.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, from 6-8 p.m.
