‘Charlie Brown Christmas’ musical at Moose Lodge Dec. 14-15

“A Charlie Brown Christmas,” a live children’s musical based on the 1965 animated television special of the same name, will be performed at 3 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Moose Lodge, 6565 Moose Drive in Gloucester (off George Washington Memorial Highway).
Derived from the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles M. Schulz, the show tells the story of Charlie Brown (played by Carter Roane), who finds himself depressed despite the onset of the cheerful holiday season. Lucy (portrayed by Grace Fox) suggests he direct a neighborhood Christmas play, but his best efforts are ignored and mocked by his peers.
It’s only when Linus (Aiden Capone) tells Charlie Brown about the true meaning of Christmas that things begin to change. Also featured will be Henry Barnett as Schroeder, Madelyn Tyler as Snoopy, Mary Ashton Van Fossen as Woodstock, and Juliette Thompson as Sally.
