Charles Thomas “Tommy” Joyce, 66, of Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at his home. He was born in Gloucester. He retired from Huntington-Ingalls Shipyard in 2021 after 47 years of service as an electrician and instructor. He had a huge amount of love for his grandchildren, loved woodworking and “loved” working on his friends’ boats.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Roscoe Joyce, and cousin, Johnny, and is survived by his children, Denise Karnes, Candace Joyce and Stephen Joyce; his mother, Nellie Carmine Joyce; siblings, Ricky Joyce, Todd Sharpe, and Renee Shirley; grandchildren, Aiden, Ryken, Varick, Olivia, and August, and numerous cousins (that were more like brothers and sisters).

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, with the family receiving friends afterwards until 7:30. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
