Charles Peter Zabel Sr., 86, of Gloucester, passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2015.

He was a native of Albany County, N.Y., and was a self-employed siding mechanic. 

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Rosa Jane Zabel; his children, Curtis Zabel, Clifton Zabel, Claudia LaLima, Cherie Mathew, Christine Zabel, Cynthia Myers, and Charles Zabel Jr.; his brother, Gilbert Zabel; 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private.

Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, is in charge of arrangements.
