Charles M. “Pot” Landon, 80, of Bena, died Dec. 30, 2014 at his home.

He was a native of Tangier Island, Va., and was a retired waterman. Charles was devoted to his family and he will be missed greatly by them.

He is survived by his wife, Henrietta Landon of Hayes; daughters, Debra Landon Karnes and Carol Crockett, both of Tangier Island; three brothers, Burke, Edward and Stanley Landon; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the In Home Healthcare staff and staff of Riverside Walter Reed Hospice for the love and support given to Charles and his family during his illness.

Services will be private.
