Charles H. Willis, 80, of Mathews, Virginia, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.
Charles was born on July 3, 1944 to Franklin and Isabelle Willis of Mathews. Charles attended Thomas Hunter School in Mathews County.

On February 26, 1966, he married the love of his life, Connie Matthews, and to this union one son was born, Charles H. Willis Jr.

At an early age he accepted Christ and became a member of Emmus Baptist Church, North, Va.

In 1982, he started a career with McLean Contracting Company. He retired after 27 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Isabelle Willis.

Charles is survived by his wife, Connie; son, Charles Jr., and daughter-in-law, Dorothy; three sisters-in-law, Ann Willis, Linda White, and Shirley Cooke; two brothers-in-law, Anderson Willis and Ralph Cooke, a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 12 p.m. (noon) at First Baptist Church, 9654 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews.
