Charles B. Harris, 71, of Baltimore Md., died on Aug. 27, 2014.
He was a proud Vietnam War veteran.
Charles lived in Woods Cross Roads, Va., until he was about 14 years old. He then moved to Baltimore, Md., to live with his Aunt Ann and Uncle Harold. Charles loved Baltimore. He liked to take road trips, but he was always happy to return home. He never forgot his roots and he made many trips to Gloucester County to visit family and friends until his health failed him. He was employed by and retired from William T. Burnett of Jessup, Md., after many years of service.
Charles was funny, friendly and down-to-earth.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Marie F. and Charlie Harris.
He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Commander of Wilmington, Del., Elsa Charlene Harris of Glenolden, Pa.; brother-in-law, Thomas Commander of Wilmington, Del.; nephews, Thomas Stoddart of Upper Darby, Pa., John Stoddart of Wilmington, Del.; aunts, Dorothy Harris of Philadelphia, Pa., and Ann Gregory of Baltimore, Md.
First viewing will be held Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at 12 noon at March Funeral Home East, 1101 E. North Avenue, Baltimore, Md. Funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. at March Funeral Home East. Burial will be after the service at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, Md.
