The second annual Gloucester Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Gloucester Institute’s Moton Center on the banks of the York River at Cappahosic.
The event will be held from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., said Makalia Records, executive director of host Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce. The festival is planned rain or shine at 6496 Allmondsville Road.
Those attending the chamber fundraiser will be treated to an assortment of wines from seven Virginia vineyards, Records said, including Athena Vineyards & Winery, DeVault Cellars, and Saudé Creek Vineyards.
Tickets cost $20 each in advance and $25 at the gate, Records said, and include an elegant event logo wine glass, unlimited wine tastings, and admission to the historic Holly Knoll facility.
Two bands will entertain the crowd throughout the day, Records said, and a live radio broadcast is planned from the event.
