The Courthouse Chamber Orchestra will present a concert of chamber music Friday at Timberneck in Machicomoco State Park, Hayes. The concert is indoors. Admission is $15 for adults, free for children.
The orchestra is comprised of musicians from the Gloucester-Mathews area and is directed by SSgt Jarrett Kocan.
Timberneck, the historic Catlett home, is undergoing a restoration to its original condition of 200 years ago, a release said. The concert will feature traditional chamber music, such as would have been performed during Timberneck’s existence.
Light refreshments and informal house tours will follow the one-hour concert.
To reach Timberneck, enter Machicomoco, turn right just past the entrance and follow the road to the Interpretive Center. Timberneck is the large, green, two-story house near the center.
