Chalk Fest 2010

Sara Craig of Gloucester, top photo at right, puts the finishing touches on a drawing she and two friends, Katie Girard and Raeanne Love, created for the Chalk Fest held Saturday on Carriage Court, Gloucester. The theme of the contest was The Circle of Life, and the girls’ drawing depicted flowers, a cat, a dog, and a bear. Also completing their drawings were Laura Godwin, left, a peace symbol; and Mason Murawski, center, seagulls, a seal and a shark.

Kirby wins best in show at Chalk Fest

The Cook Foundation held its fourth annual Chalk Fest on Saturday at Carriage Court. The theme was "The Circle of Life," and the featured artist was Holly Winslow of Williamsburg.

Best in show for the contest was awarded to Michael Kirby, who won $500.
