Central Village Homemakers’ gift will keep on giving

The 40 members of the Central Village Homemakers in Mathews have done it all, again. They dedicate themselves to being a positive influence on the community by working together in friendship, respect and service.
In 2015, their work included presenting a Mathews High School scholarship merit award, making donations from their Mathews Market Days proceeds to: Meals on Wheels, Mathews Blessing Fund, Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic, Mathews cafeteria fund, Mathews Senior Center, Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, MHS Robotics Team, Triad Senior Day, 4-H Scholarship, and the MHS After-Prom Party. Let us not forget the annual Christmas Sing-Along, another joyful gift to the community.
Finally, the members rest and enjoy a Christmas luncheon. And as always, they are sharing their recipes with you here, a gift that will keep on giving.
