A Celtic Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, at Kingston Parish Chapel, 370 Main Street, Mathews.
The service will harken back in time to the period from 674-725 A.D. at Lindisfarne off the northeast coast of England. Known as a Holy Island, it was a place where three Celtic Saints, Cuthbert, Ethilwald, and Felgild, spent time in silence and in prayer, a release said.
The meditative service is held with lighted candles, prayers, and reflection. The Strings & Things Quartet will play Celtic music throughout.
People of all faiths are invited to attend and bring their friends.
