CCS volleyball off to strong start

Coach Anna Moore and the Christchurch varsity volleyball team are off to a strong start this season with a 3-1 record going into last week.
Moore, who is originally from Saluda, is a 2015 Christchurch graduate. She was captain of the volleyball team in 2014 and was named team MVP in 2013 and defensive MVP in 2014.
This year’s team captains are Channing Lewis ’24 of Tappahannock and Mercy Duff ’24 of Alexandria.
Local players include: CeCe Jablonsky ’25 of White Stone; Macon Kissman ’26 of Deltaville; Callie Penick ’27 of Cardinal; Sienna Rowe ’26 of Urbanna; Sky Stewart ’24 of White Stone; and Avery Thomas ’26 of Cobbs Creek.The Seahorses compete in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II, which includes Atlantic Shores Christian; Cape Henry Collegiate; Chatham Hall; Covenant School; Eastern Mennonite; Foxcroft; Fredericksburg Christian; Hampton Roads Academy; Highland School; Immanuel Christian; Isle of Wight; King Abdullah Academy; Nansemond-Suffolk Academy;...
