CCS football coach named; going to 8-man football this fall

Joel Jorgensen has been named head football coach for Christchurch School, CCS Director of Athletics and Co-Curricular Activities John Dehm announced on June 27.
Jorgensen will lead the football team of the private Middlesex County school which will be transitioning this fall to eight-man football (from the traditional 11-man game).
Jorgensen comes to Christchurch from his high school alma mater, the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland, where he was a wide receiver coach and recruiter for four years.
He was captain of the football team at St. Anselm’s College in Goffstown, New Hampshire, and graduated with a degree in Communication. Following college, Jorgensen was a coaching intern at the University of New Hampshire for a season, before heading to Johns Hopkins University where he was an assistant coach (defense, strong safeties) from 2016-2019.
Jorgensen will teach in the Humanities Department at CCS.
