CCS day students receive fall sports awards

Two Mathews County youth were among those honored by Christchurch School as the Middlesex County private school presented awards to day students for their contributions to fall sports teams.
Lillian Williams, daughter of Adam and Heidi Williams of North, received the Hustle Award for her play on the girls’ tennis team, while Jaclyn Callis, the daughter of Jason and Kelly Callis of North, received the Most Improved Player award for varsity volleyball.
Other awards presented to CCS day students included the girls’ tennis Coach’s Award to Stephanie Bowhey, daughter of Steve and Jennifer Bowhey of Irvington; the Most Improved Player on the JV volleyball team to Katelyn Carnes, daughter of Daniel Fomin and Katie Carnes of Hartfield; the JV volleyball Hustle Award to Stella Mayhew, daughter of Tom and Trish Mayhew of Irvington; the varsity volleyball Defensive MVP award to MaryClare Hodges, daughter of John and Pam Hodges of Heathsville; the varsity boys’ soccer MVP award to Blake Berry, son...
