CATHY LYNN HANNABACH

We are saddened to announce the death of Cathy Lynn Hannabach on July 10, 2024, following a short illness.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Hannabach; her five children, Ramsey Ismail, Suzanne Gillespie, Craig Osmail, Sandra Elliott and Stephen Hunsberger; also, by her sister, Linda Gough; brother, Phillip Burns, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In the Bridge world Cathy achieved the honor of being a Gold Life Master.

She loved board games, especially Scrabble, where she was nothing short of dangerous. She had a deep love and appreciation for the English language and inspired all who knew her.

Cathy was an accomplished author of books and many articles on various subjects, including Poetry, Dream Interpretation, Spiritual Matters and, of course, Bridge.

She was considered by all who knew her as one of the kindest, gentlest, most loving, forgiving and beautiful souls they had ever known.

The world was a better place with her in it.

She will be profoundly missed.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Piankatank Community Building, 11888 Harcum Road, Gloucester, Va. 23061 from 3-7 p.m. Memorial contributions in Cathy’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, either at St.Jude.org or to P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, Tenn. 38101.

Andrews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
