Catherine Hogge Rinehart passed away on Oct. 19, 2022 at Sanders Nursing Home in Gloucester at the age of 91 years. She was born on Jan. 14, 1931. She grew up in Gloucester and graduated from Gloucester County Schools. She retired from Langley Air Force Base in Hampton as a purchasing agent. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maryus H. Hogg and Marie J. Hogg; spouses, Russell T. Berry, William A. Smith Jr., and Preston L. Rinehart; children, Carolyn A. Wilburn and Douglas S. Smith; her brothers, Boyd A. Hogg, Lewis H. Hogge, Nelson J. Hogge, and sister, Roselle V. Williams. She is survived by her brother, Maryus Hogge (Carolyn); grandchildren, Jessica M. Campbell (Mark) and Rachel Bryson (Jason); great-grandchildren, Tanner, Jaxon, and Jayden; also, nieces and nephews. A graveside service, conducted by the Rev. Jared Berry, was held on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Gloucester Point Cemetery.
