Carolyn Sue Morecock of Yorktown, passed from this life on October 14, 2023. Sue was born on June 14, 1947, and was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Robert “Rod” Morecock; her parents, Bernard and Betty Glass, as well as her brother, Edward James “Eddie” Glass. She is survived by her son, Jason Morecock, his wife Alex, and daughter Jennifer Taylor; grandsons, Gary Rod Taylor, Jacob Taylor, and Michael Morecock; her brother, Gordon Glass, and her sister and best friend, Louise Austin, also, Louise’s husband, Larry Austin. Sue was an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church and served in many different capacities. She retired from the Colonial Services Board in Williamsburg and was a Health Information Management Technician. Sue loved to dance. She spent many years square and round dancing with the Triangle Squares of Gloucester and Peninsula groups. Sue lived in Gloucester for many years before moving to Yorktown. She absolutely loved daffodils and spending time with her family and gorgeous grandsons. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 6-7 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Paul Song conducting, with a reception in the social hall to follow.
