Carol Marie Taylor, 74, of Yorktown, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022. She was born in Richmond, Virginia, on Feb. 16, 1948 to Gus and Sophie Lempesis. Carol liked bowling, fishing, the beach and tennis.

She is survived by her son, Matthew “Matt’ Waddell of Susan, Virginia, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

No service is planned. Memorial donations may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, 94 Cricket Hill Road, Hudgins, Va. 23076, or to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1130, Mathews, Va. 23109.
