Carol Lorraine Frazier,75, of Richmond, Virginia, was born on June 1, 1948 and entered into the presence of Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Carol’s life was deeply rooted in faith and she found comfort and strength in her spiritual journey. Her devotion to Jesus Christ guided her throughout her life and she was an inspiration to those who knew her. Carol graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1966, showcasing her determination and commitment to learning. She carried those values into her professional life where she was a dedicated employee and cherished friend to Joan Wilton for 22 years. Throughout her life, Carol touched the lives of many with her genuine love, compassion and selflessness. She would lend a helping hand to anyone in need, displaying the true essence of a loving and caring soul. Family was at the core of Carol’s heart and she cherished the moments spent with her children and grandchildren. She found joy at the beach making memories with those she loved. Her loyal companion, “Toby” (dog), was another constant source of happiness in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Maxine Frazier; brothers, Vern Frazier and James Sanford, and nephew, Eric Sanford.
Carol is survived by her devoted daughter, Lisa Gary (Dwayne); son, Vincent Handling (Sheri); grandchildren, Joshua (Anna), Brittany, Anthony and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Kyler and Lucy; four step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Sanford and Darlene Frazier, and nieces and nephew.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Cobbs Creek, Virginia, with burial to follow at H.C. Smither Memorial Cemetery, Hudgins.
