Carol E. Konow of Redding, Conn., passed away on Aug. 17, 2012 in Gloucester, Va., following an extended illness.
She was born Carol Elizabeth Scott on Dec. 22, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pa. She attended Lycoming College, and worked for many years as a medical secretary.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 51 years, George Konow of Redding; son, Gary of Danbury, Conn.; daughter, Sharon Jennings (Brian) of Mathews, Va., and grandchildren, Brittany and Andrew Jennings.
We will miss her dearly, and will forever remember her kind heart, gentle spirit, sense of humor, and courage in the face of adversity.
A memorial service will be held on Oct. 13, 2012 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Redding.
The members of Carol’s family wish to extend their utmost appreciation to the staff at Sanders Nursing Home for their professional, considerate treatment of Carol, and to massage therapist Ginger Peer for the reassuring comfort she brought to Carol each day.
