Cariens to discuss book on mass shootings at White Stone church

Author David Cariens of Irvington, will discuss his upcoming book, “Outrageous: Investigating Mass Shootings, My Personal Journey,” during Sunday’s 10:30 a.m. service at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock at 366 James Wharf Road, White Stone.
Cariens has spent nearly a decade researching and writing about mass shootings in Virginia, said a press release. His book delves into the personal stories of survivors, families of victims, and the communities affected by these tragic events. Through his own personal journey, Cariens aims to bring attention to the issue of gun violence and the need for change.
The UUFR welcomes the public to attend the service, said the release, adding, “Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from a local author and engage in meaningful dialogue about an important topic.”
