Calloway named Gloucester County Finance Director

Gloucester Administrator Carol Steele recently announced several personnel changes within the organization, including naming longtime county employee Maria Calloway to the role of Finance Director. She had been Fiscal Services Manager since 2020.
Calloway received her B.S. in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University in Newport News and received her M.S. in Accounting from Liberty University in Lynchburg. A licensed CPA in Virginia since 2013, She resides in Gloucester with her husband Hunter and their son.
Calloway spent seven years in public accounting and two years in the county’s Financial Services Group as Accounting Manager and Interim Director in 2014-2015. She later served as Chief Deputy Treasurer in the Treasurer’s Office for 2.5 years before moving into fiscal services.
