The Court House Players will present the comedy “Bus Stop” by William Inge as dinner theater on March 8-10 and as show-only on March 11 at the Piankatank Ruritan Club, Hudgins.
In the play, four weary travelers and four locals ride out a raging snowstorm together at Grace’s Diner and bus stop in rural Missouri.
Cherie (Laura Prowom-Soles), a chanteuse, is trying to escape from a cowboy named Bo (Tristan Emerson), who kidnapped her from the nightclub where she was performing. He’s determined to take her home to his ranch against her will and marry her, to the dismay of his sidekick, Virgil (John Dempsey). But Sheriff Will Masters (D’Shawn Wright) just might have something to say about that.
Meanwhile, young waitress Elma (Ashton Emerson) is learning a few things about the facts of life from the diner’s owner Grace (Lara Emerson), bus driver Carl (Tom Robinson), and the shady Dr. Lyman (R.J. Erickson), who can’t seem to keep his hands off a whisk...
