Auditions for the Court House Players production of the musical “Sister Act” will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13 in the Ware Church Parish Hall, Route 14, Gloucester.
A diverse cast of at least six to eight men and 20 or more women over age 16 will be needed.
“If you can sing like Donna Summer or the Bee Gees and/or got moves like a young Travolta, this is the show for you,” said director Jacqueline Kilduff.
Those auditioning should prepare at least one minute of a song, preferably with MP3 or CD accompaniment, and “come dressed to move,” said Kilduff, adding “if you don’t have a prepared piece, come anyway.”
Rehearsals for the show will begin Sunday, Aug. 20 at Newington Baptist Church and will be held every Sunday afternoon and Tuesday and Thursday evening through October, said Kilduff. More rehearsals will be added as the show moves to Mathews High School and approaches opening night on Thursday, Nov. 9.
