BZA approves application for catering, special events hall

The Gloucester County Board of Zoning Appeals voted 6-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 26 to approve the special exception application for a full-service catering and special events hall business.

Robert P. Aubrey Jr. for Main Events, LLC, doing business as Distinction for White Marsh Properties, LLC, property owner, applied for the special exception to establish the recreation and amusement enterprise.

Aubrey also received permission for an imbedded variance of 380 feet to special exception criterion "C," which requires that all such activities shall be conducted at least 500 feet from any residential district.

The property is located in White Marsh Shopping Center at 4914 George Washington Memorial Highway (Route 17) in the York Magisterial District, and is zoned Business (B-1).
