Buz and Tamara Rollins were surprised when told they’d been selected to be grand marshals of this year’s Mathews Christmas Parade, which will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday.
“There are so many deserving people in this community,” said Buz. “I was stunned.”
“Our contributions are small compared to others,” said Tamara, “but we’re trying to make a difference how we can. We see it as a way to spread the word that everybody can do something.”
Buz and Tamara are both members of Made in Mathews, the artists’ group that every year puts on the Open Studio Tour. Buz is the creator and owner of Bloodys by Buz Gourmet Ventures, creating a Bloody Mary mix described as “exquisite” and “a bold adventure for the gourmet palate.” Tamara owns Moonstruck Soap, creating soaps, bath products, candles, and other items “inspired by nature, crafted with care.”
