The Guinea Heritage Association’s weekly Saturday openings will be reinstated at the Buck’s Store Museum, Bena.
This Saturday, May 22, the GHA will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Buck’s Barbecue will be available; also crab cake sliders for $5. Lunch, eat in or take out, will be available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The lunch combo includes a BBQ sandwich, chips and drink for $6.
“It has been a long time and we want to get back to our concept of offering a community meeting place, whether new to area or a lifelong resident, come in and visit, learn a little history, and catch up on local news and maybe share a laugh,” said Ginny Snowden of the GHA.
The next “happening” at Buck’s Store will be a grilled chicken dinner to-go on Saturday, June 5. The best way to order and pay is on the organization’s website, guineaheritage.org.
