Bubba’s Shrimp Shack recently expanded the seating capacity and menu at its White Marsh Shopping Center restaurant.
Owner Cole Crockett of Yorktown said the popular eatery expanded to keep up with its increased number of customers. The original restaurant had 20 seats, he said, and the total has grown to about 90 seats counting the bar. The expansion included adding a second dining room. There’s also seating for about a half dozen diners outside the restaurant.
General manager Ernie Campos of Ark said that besides adding more seats, Bubba’s has expanded its original fried fish and shellfish menu. Steamed shrimp are now offered, as are Caesar salads.
Popular offerings at lunch and dinner are the “Captain’s Basket,” filled with oysters, shrimp and two kinds of fish, and crab cakes. The most-requested side dishes are macaroni and cheese and green beans seasoned with pork, Campos said.
