Broadband service area expands with completion of infrastructure

More than 460 previously unserved homes and businesses in Mathews now have broadband service available to them, thanks to completion of the infrastructure needed for the VATI grant-funded Breezeline broadband project.
The only thing left to do now is to get customers connected, said Mathews Broadband Advisory Board vice chairman Willie Love in a board meeting Tuesday morning.
Love suggested that Mathews residents visit the Mathews County government website at mathewscountyva.gov to check and see if their address is among those listed as now eligible for service. If so, the next step is to contact Breezeline vice president Reggie Spivey directly to sign up for service at 410-490-6082 or rspivey@breezeline.com. Spivey can sign up new customers without a connection fee, said Love, while regular Breezeline sales people don’t have that option.
