Britt’s Inc. to hold coloring contest beginning today

Britt’s Inc., a garage door service based in West Point, is holding a coloring contest for children 12 years and younger beginning today through Sept. 7. The coloring page can be found in the Gazette-Journal.
The focus of the coloring contest is garage door safety and it offers the following safety tips for children to remember.
—Do not play with the remote control;
—Garage doors and door openers are not toys;
—Keep hands and fingers away from section joint hinges, tracks, springs, and other door parts, and
—Do not touch, ride, stand or walk under a moving door.
The page also encourages parents to contact Britt’s to perform a safety check on their garage door and openers.
Billy Hensley, sales and installation manager at Britt’s, said the company is trying to bring awareness about the dangers of playing with garage doors. “They’ll get hurt that way,” said Hensley.
