Brenda Kay Hogge, age 68, of Hayes, died at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Brenda was born on Oct. 6, 1953 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, to the late Hugh L. Bozzell and JoAnne Wells Bozzell. Brenda worked as an auditor for the 7-Eleven Southland Corporation, was a greenhouse manager for Williamsburg Pottery, and a manager for Jamestown Feed and Seed. She was extremely family-oriented; nothing came before her family. She enjoyed going on family vacations and going to listen to her husband play in the band. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jackie Caudill, and brother, Ronald Bozzell. Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Lewis S. Hogge Jr.; her children, Charles C. Pitts Jr. (Cristie), Mandee J. Mara (Andrew), Steven C. Hogge, and Timothy A. Hogge (Patrick); her grandchildren, MaryKate Hogge, Caleigh Hogge, Troy T. Mara Jr., Joshua Mara, and Tyler Mara; siblings, Bobbi Langston (Chip), Nola Harrell (Rick), Patricia Werley (J. Scott) and Randall Bozzell (Jodi). Brenda is also survived by special sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hogge, and her beloved dog, “Lucy.”
