Bradly L. Friedlin, 63, of Hayes, Va., passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on August 23, 2024, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.
Brad was born on October 27, 1960 to Pastor Buddy Charles Friedlin and Patricia L. Lorimier. After Brad graduated from KHHS in Keyston Heights, Florida, in 1978, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1980 where he served his country for 30 years.
Brad was a truly unique man. Never a harsh word came from his lips. He gave freely to anyone in need. Brad loved to fish, golf, fly his airplane, but most of all, he loved his family and Jesus.
Brad was preceded in death by his father, Pastor Buddy Friedlin; his brother, Mark C. Friedlin, and Katherine L. Friedlin, his first wife and mother of his children.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Kimberly L. Friedlin; his mother, Patricia L. Friedlin of Florida; his children, Jason Bradly Friedlin, Lindsay Ann Smith (Mike), Tori A. West (Billy) and Tristan Von Wald (Samatha); his grandchildren, Harrison Smith, Easton Smith, Sophie West and Victoria West; his two sisters, Kris Alverez (Greg), and Nancy Robbins (Mark), and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 8201 Croaker Road, Williamsburg, Va. 23188. Memorial donations may be made to Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Moncia, Calif. 90401.
