Book talk next week at Buck’s Store Museum

Native Gloucester author Shirley Hardee Withrow (pen name Sam Withrow) will have a book signing and read snippets from her new book, “The Pendant & The Prophecy,” from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, at Buck’s Store Museum, located at the corner of Guinea and Mark Pine roads in Bena.Withrow, joined by members of the Guinea Heritage Association, will take a stroll down memory lane with the book reading, as the book features local landmarks such as Buck Rowe’s Store and the Guinea Jubilee.
This is the second book in Withrow’s Forbidden Tears Series, which she is writing in collaboration with co-author Amelia Pinkis. The series blends fantasy, suspense, romance, and humor, said a press release, “transporting readers into a world of supernatural intrigue and gripping storytelling.”
“With authentic characters and a narrative rich in suspense and humor, this series offers a magical escape for readers,” said the release.
