S & S Auto Body relocated in early May from Waterview in Middlesex County to Route 17, Glenns, adjacent to the Rappahannock Concrete plant.
Owner Shawn Seawell of Middlesex said the new shop, which once housed a septic tank business, has 4,000 square feet in the main building and about 1,500 square feet in an auxiliary structure next door.
The shop has several service bays, including a heavy lift and a frame machine that is used for the extensive collision repair that S&S offers.
Services offered include heavy body work on automotive vehicles, Seawell said, as well as custom painting in a special booth. Also, he provides routine vehicle service like brake repair and oil changes, plus vehicle restoration work among other services. Seawell sells Jasper engines and transmissions.
