Bobby R. Crane, 83, of Peary, Va., entered in eternal rest on June 1, 2011.

Bobby was born on April 20, 1928 in Danville, Va., to the late Martin F. and Eva J. Crane. He retired from the federal government after 37 years of service. He and Jackie moved to Mathews in 1985 to enjoy retirement on Horn Harbor. Bobby was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Peary.

Loved ones he leaves behind are his wife of 60 years, Martha "Jackie" Crane; daughter, Tracy L. Sears (Robert) of Onemo; son, Troy D. Crane (Sharon) of Poplar Branch, N.C.; three grandchildren, Jessica C. Gentry (Charles) of Chesapeake, Ivy M. Brotherton of Maui, Hawaii, Ian A. Crane (Stacey) of Greenville, N.C.; one great-grandson, Elijah T. Devinney of Chesapeake; one brother, Gary D. Crane (Janet) of Norfolk; two sisters, Eula M. Lohman of Virginia Beach, and Betty Jean Garringer (William) of Ana Marie Island, Fla., and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va.
