Mathews supervisors will hear updates on several projects during the board’s Thursday, Aug. 15 meeting, which begins at 6 o’clock tonight in the historic courthouse on Court Street.
The international firm Schneider Electric will provide the board with an update on the energy audit it’s conducting on all county buildings, followed by updates by the design and engineering firm Vanasse Hangen Brustlin on two projects it’s in charge of—the East River Boatyard and a RAISE Grant for public access improvements. Finally, CTA Consultants LLC will give an update on the status of the emergency radio system.
Under unfinished business, the board will discuss a proposed Abandoned Boat Ordinance and a newly proposed financial policy and guidelines.New business includes discussions of closed meetings and of fees charged by the zoning and building departments, including possibly charging a fee for the zoning verification application.
