BUTTERMILK BISCUITS

2 c. self-rising flour
1 stick margarine
¾ c. buttermilk or enough to make pliable dough
Mix and knead just enough to get worked together smooth and then roll or make off as you desire. This makes 9-12 biscuits depending on the size and thickness that you make them. Bake 12 to 15 minutes in a 475°F. oven or until brown.
WILLIE MILLER BISCUITS
(for 14 men) Jan. 24, 1980
3 sifters of flour
6 tsp. baking powder
1¼ tsp. salt
½ c. shortening
Stir dry ingredients together. Add shortening and enough ice water to make sticky dough. Then work in more flour if needed and roll your dough. Cut out biscuits on a cutting board. Bake in 450°F. oven until browned. “Work your flour in dough until it gets real soft.”

1 tsp. sugar
Mix ingredients, making dough a little soft and while adding flour when beating. Work dough on board...
