Members of the Middle Peninsula Bird Club visited Fairfield Archaeology Park on Oct. 6 and bird-watched on the new Pawpaw Nature Trail that was built by the Middle Peninsula Master Naturalist Chapter in March 2023. Sara Lewis, Development Officer for the Fairfield Foundation, gave the club members a tour of the park and explained the history of the families who owned Fairfield Plantation located in the White Marsh area of Gloucester. Club members observed 17 bird species while bird-watching on the property.
