The Middle Peninsula Bird Club will guide participants in a bird walk on Thursday, March 19, at Beaverdam Park in Gloucester; meet at the main entrance at 8 a.m. to view waterfowl, eagles, woodpeckers, forest birds and others.
There will be an optional trip to the north entrance off Fary’s Mill Road (Route 606) to view more species of waterfowl, grebes, and forest birds. Spring breeding season has begun with increased bird song so now is a good time to hone your birdsong-listening skills.
Any cancellations due to weather will be posted on the club’s Facebook page.
You do not have to be an expert to join the walks; the Middle Peninsula Bird Club is an informal group with no membership fees. The club welcomes all levels of birders.
