More than 125 quilted items, from full-size bed quilts to tiny pincushions, were entered in the 2017 Quilts of River Country show held Friday and Saturday in buildings on and around the Gloucester Court Green. Above, from left, volunteers Jeanne Surber, Laurie Lofgren and Patsy Morales stand in front of Lofgren’s quilt, “Aden’s Dino World,” made for her dinosaur-loving grandson. It was among many items exhibited in the colonial courthouse. Vendors, demonstrations and other displays were part of the show, sponsored by the River Country Quilt Guild with participation from Bay Quilters, Stingray Stitchers, and others in the public. The guilds also staged a display in Arts on Main, a nearby gallery. Photo by Elsa Verbyla
