Beverly Ann Morton of Gloucester, beloved wife of Richard Morton, died on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the age of 71 at VCU Hospital, Richmond, Virginia. She was born on July 16, 1952, in Newport, Rhode Island, to the late John and Betty Ann Morrow. Beverly enjoyed tending to her gardens, where she grew flowers and vegetables, going for walks, making home-cooked meals, sailing, and horse racing. Richard and Beverly together enjoyed going on Celebrity Cruises. In addition to her husband, Beverly is survived by her children, Paul Morton and Lisa Cone (Stephen), and grandchildren, Siena Cone and Preston Cone. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Rowe (Robert); brothers-in-law, David and Billy Morton, and her feline children, “Ivy” and “Heather.” The family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 12:30-1:45 p.m., followed by a chapel service at 2 o’clock conducted by Pastor Arthur Wolz. The inurnment was private.
