Beulah Adell Brown, 80, of Hayes, died Sept. 1, 2013 at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
Adell was a member of Groves Memorial Presbyterian Church since 1943 where she enjoyed many years of worship. Her faith and trust in God was unquestionable. She began working at Fort Eustis and retired from Naval Weapons. She also worked for Gloucester County School System as a bus driver.
Even though Adell worked outside the home, her family came first and she devoted much time with them hosting many family events. To her family she was the glue that binds, a happy, joyful person with a positive outlook on life. Her eyes twinkled with life and love and laughter. Adell will be remembered by so many, for many reasons, and her legacy of love is the gift she leaves behind to keep her close at heart always.
She was preceded in death by Georgie W. Brown, Florence G. West, Hammie T. West, Irene W. Insley, Estelle W. Brown, Maggie W. Brown, Waverly L. Luckett, Nellie W. Insley, David C. West, Russell S. West and Esther A. West.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carroll Evans Brown; children, Randolph Taylor Brown (Helen), David Carroll Brown (Ethel), Beulah Dale Brown (Danny), Neal Evans Brown (Kim), and Thomas Bradley Brown (Robin); 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Bill McCullough and the Rev. Fred Reed will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Groves Memorial Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
