While she had a varied career, even including a stint in Nashville as a country music recording artist, Betty Lou Setterholm Sammons always found herself drawn back to Guinea.
Her hometown is now honoring her as its 2023 Guinea Jubilee grand marshal. The announcement was made at the conclusion of Sunday afternoon’s Guinea Heritage Day program, which was held at the Abingdon Ruritan Club building in Bena.
