Betty Dixon Horsley, 81, of Gloucester, died on April 8, 2024.

She was born in King and Queen County and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Retha Lowney Dixon, and the widow of Wilmer Oakley Horsley. She attended New Hope Independent Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Theresa Elliott, Cheryl Harper, Vincent Horsley, Robert Horsley, Angela Jamerson, Michael Horsley, and Retha Horsley; sisters, Joan Ayers and Caroline Harlow, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family received friends at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, with funeral service starting at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in Shackelfords Chapel Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to New Hope Independent Baptist Church, Gloucester.
