Bethel recognized at school board meeting

The Gloucester County School Board celebrated the accomplishments of Bethel Elementary School Tuesday night at its regularly scheduled monthly meeting in the T.C. Walker Education Center Auditorium.
Fifth grade Bethel student Delaney Layton served as this month’s pledge leader. She is the current SCA president at Bethel and served as SCA vice president as a fourth grader. In addition to SCA, Layton is a member of the Great Computer Challenge, Running Club and Girls that Code. She is also in the chorus and was part of the All County Chorus earlier this year. She provides the morning news for her fellow Bethel Bears as well. Outside of school, Layton enjoys performing with the Moose Family Players and was most recently in a production of “Once Upon a Mattress.”Heather King was recognized as Community Volunteer of the Month at the meeting for her work at Bethel.
