The Children’s Day picnic held at Bethel Church near Laban a few nights ago, was a success in some respects at least. An address given by Rev. J.A. Winn was very much enjoyed by all persons after which ice cream was plentifully served and about $22.00 was cleared.
Mr. Thaddeus Diggs and Miss Maydie Hudgins were quietly married at the home of the bride’s parents last Sunday morning. The bride is a strikingly handsome and attractive young lady of this place.
