Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point, recently held a Mission Sunday Celebration to distribute funds to 25 charitable organizations. The funds were raised from a bazaar held in November 2024 and proceeds from Upsy Daisy Creative Reuse Center in Hayes.
Upsy Daisy partners with Bethany to enhance community outreach and provide essential resources to various charitable organizations. The Center operates Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; is operated by Bethany and completely staffed with volunteers from several churches and the surrounding community. Volunteers are always needed to work in the store, teach classes, paint furniture and make repurposed crafts to sell. Donations of arts and craft supplies are accepted any time the store is open.
