Jennifer Schroeder of Mathews accompanied her beagle Fae to Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, last weekend to compete in the Nita Nee Kennel Club Annual All Breed and Obedience and Rally Dog Show. Fae and her owner/handler had a great showing. Fae had to compete in several classes with other females. She won her class, then went back in the ring to compete against all the other females that had won their classes. She then won Winners Bitch (that was her second time in the ring). Then Fae went back in with the Winners Dog (male) and competed for Best of Breed, and six specials, who were already champions, and one grand champion. That was her big win; she won that class, and received Best of Winners and Best of Breed. Fae is competing to earn her breed championship in AKC. To do so, she must win two Majors. In most of her classes Fae has competed in Virginia. Schroeder said there are not enough dogs to make a Major in the state, so they competed in Pennsylvania, where more beagles were entered....
